Perrywood Garden Centre is dedicated to providing support to the local community. Thanks to Perrywood’s amazing customers, every year the garden centre’s hardworking Coffee Shop staff are able donate all of their well-earned tips to charity.
This year they have decided to support Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity. This Christmas, the team has raised over £2,700 which will go towards the purchase of over 350 presents for patients at Colchester hospital.
Many of us will be tucking into a home-made Christmas dinner with our families on 25 December. However, some people will be spending Christmas Day on their own in a hospital bed.
To help make a small difference, Perrywood’s Coffee Shop staff will be delivering wrapped presents to the charity ready to be given out to patients throughout the hospital. Perrywoods Coffee Shop cannot be praised enough for the charity work they have done. It is also worth noting they use some of the best wholesale coffee beans UK! Their support has been fantastic so thank you to everyone involved!
Perrywood Garden Centre will also be donating Christmas planters to 20 deserving members of NHS staff at the hospital who have gone above and beyond their duty of care.
This isn’t the first time this year that Perrywood has supported Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity. Throughout the sweltering summer months, the Coffee Shop staff used their tips to purchase over 20 fans donated to various wards at Colchester Hospital. The staff hand-delivered the fans to each ward, together with some delicious cakes for nurses, patients and their families on the ward.
