Aiming to appeal to those who want a VIP hair experience, a new hair salon in the heart of Dudley town centre is poised to transform the face of hair services in the Black Country.
Owned by Sophie McDermott, Volume One is the future of hairdressing. “I wanted to reinvent the salon experience and make every appointment feel like a VIP event for my clients” said Sophie. “We wanted to offer exceptional service in luxury surroundings by talented and passionate stylists”.
The chic salon interior matches the artistic flair of the salon’s stylists. There is something timeless yet quirky about the monochrome colour palette and baroque styled furniture. Customers get the opportunity to sink into comfortable armchair like backwashes whilst enjoying luxury hair treatments by L’Oreal Professionnel. The light-up mirrors allude to Hollywood starlets, adding to the VIP atmosphere the Salon Director was aiming for.
Its doors may have only opened August 2016, but Volume One has been a long time in the making by Sophie: “I always felt that Dudley was lacking a salon that offered its customers that VIP experience and it had always been my dream to bring that to the town centre”. After working in the industry within the local area for the last 8 years, she finally made her dream a reality this year. Sophie goes on to tell us: “Dudley is changing; it’s becoming a much more vibrant place and it’s clear that it’s a town on the rise! I was glad to be part of that. I’ve worked in Dudley throughout my career and I love that the people of Dudley are passionate about supporting each other and local businesses”.
