So you’d better look into getting your hotel booked fast! A holiday inn with swimming pool sounds pretty perfect.

The full Jazz and Music Festival line-ups are yet to be revealed, but early headliners for both Festivals will be on sale in plenty of time for Christmas.

Jazz Festival: 26 April – 1 May 2017

Headlining The Big Top on Sunday 30 April is The Chick Corea Trio. A 22-time Grammy-winning jazz legend, pianist and composer Chick Corea is a tirelessly creative spirit who has touched an astonishing number of musical bases throughout his illustrious career. He has attained living legend status after five decades of unparalleled creativity, with many of his compositions now considered jazz standards.

Joining Chick in the trio for this exclusive Cheltenham Jazz Festival performance are two legends in their own right, bass virtuoso Eddie Gomez and drum titan Brian Blade. This will be the only UK date of the trio’s European spring tour.

Other names confirmed for 2017 are acclaimed jazz/funk collective Snarky Puppy fresh from their second Grammy-win, and the genre-defying multi-instrumentalist Meshell Ndegeocello.

Tickets for selected Cheltenham Jazz Festival events go on sale to members on Wednesday, November 2 and to the general public on Friday, November 4. Cheltenhamfestivals.com.

Jazz Festival Director Ian George said: “We remain focused on bringing a selection of the biggest, most exciting names in jazz to the UK and are therefore delighted to be welcoming Snarky Puppy, Meshell Ndegeocello and The Chick Corea Trio, for what will be the only UK date of their spring European tour, to the festival in 2017.

Music Festival: 30 June – 16 July 2017

Bryn Terfel is one of the big names in the 2017 Music Festival programme, which also features the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra under its new Music Director Mirga Gražinyt?-Tyla; Academy of Ancient Music; Tasmin Little; Tenebrae; Pavel Haas Quartet; I Fagiolini; Sheku Kanneh-Mason; and conductor Sir Mark Elder with The Hallé.

Festival Director Meurig Bowen said: “I am thrilled that Bryn Terfel has found a gap in his heavy international schedule to perform at Cheltenham Music Festival. The chance to hear this global star in a relatively intimate space like Cheltenham Town Hall will be very special indeed.

Tickets for four major Music Festival concerts go on sale to members on Wednesday, November 30 and to the general public on Friday, December 2
