Glitter is in the air , sequins are sparkling and only a few days to go until the Strictly Come Dancing 2017 live shows begin on Saturday whoop!
All the pairings have been announced the training has started this is where the hard work begins. I remember the aches, the pains the pulled back muscle, blisters and running through my routine in my head at any opportunity even when the traffic lights are waiting to go green.
It is all consuming and you do feel like your living in the Strictly Bubble and in another dimension.
Today I have been chatting to Robin Windsor my Peoples Strictly Partner. He is on his holidays in Spain and is so excited to see the first episode on Saturday.
Robin shared that it is going to be a fantastic series with some fantastic celebrities. So far without knowing too much about everybody Robin is loving Ruth Langsford. He has wanted Ruth to do the show for so long . He thinks she is wonderful.
However, Robin thinks the one to watch is Alexandra Burke and her dance partner Gorka the Korka. Robin feels they are going to steam ahead and go for that Glitter Ball Trophy!
Recently I was chatting to Cassie the Founder of the ‘Strictly Come Dancing Support Group’ that I discovered when Dancing on Peoples Strictly .
Cassie shares that the Strictly Support Group started at the end of 2013 (28th December to be exact.)
My eldest daughter Bella (who was 3 at the time) had really fallen in love with Strictly that year and caught the dancing bug. When she realised that there would be no Strictly Saturdays until she was 4, she was very upset. I soon realised that she was not alone in suffering from a case of the post-strictly blues, and started the Strictly Support Group.
Its main aim is to create a community where we could keep Strictly going all year round with chats, quizzes and dances, to help cure everyone’s post-strictly blues. Whilst Strictly is on our screens we also guide fans through the show and host fun activities to get people excited about, talking about and interacting with all things Strictly.
I love running the page but couldn’t do it without the support of all our wonderful fans who are truly ah-may-zing!
