Hylands Studio hand knit designer, Georgia Farrell, has just launched her first book ‘Inspired Knits; 12 Hand Knit Designs Influenced by Architectural Details and Shapes’ at Liberty of London.
This book is Georgia’s first solo knitting pattern book, and was inspired by her fascination with shape and structure. The book includes a collection of women’s garments and accessories featuring her signature architecturally inspired texture work, giving a fresh, modern look to her hand knit designs.
Georgia has been working from her studio at Hylands Estate for just over one year, which has given her have the space and inspiration to develop new ideas and create her innovative designs. She says: “I love having my studio here at Hylands, there’s a fantastic, diverse group of creatives here so we all bounce ideas off each other and keep each other motivated on our work. Seeing my dream collection published in my own book is just amazing, and we had a great time launching ‘Inspired Knits’ at the Rowan Yarns’ flagship concession at Liberty of London!”
‘Inspired Knits is published by Quail Studio in conjunction with Rowan Yarns and is priced £9.99 and is available from Rowan Yarns stockists and at Georgia’s studio at Hylands and website: www.georgiafarrell.co.uk
