Taylor Wimpey has donated £500 to The Shoebury Ark charity in Shoeburyness to help provide food to low income families in the area.
The charity offers free, freshly cooked meals to over 700 households, with a focus on low-income families, the elderly, and individuals facing financial difficulties. In addition to its meal services, The Shoebury Ark sells low-cost tinned and packet food, children’s clothing, and distributes food parcels to vulnerable members of the community.
Founded with the aim of alleviating poverty and supporting local families, The Shoebury Ark plays a crucial role in the Shoeburyness area. The charity’s services are more critical than ever, as many families face rising living costs and economic challenges.
The £500 donation from Taylor Wimpey will be used to help expand the charity’s food services, enabling them to support even more local families facing financial hardship.
Michael O’Leary, Regional Operations and Sales Director at Taylor Wimpey London, said: “Taylor Wimpey is committed to giving back to the communities in which they build, and this charity is amazing at providing help to those most vulnerable. We are proud to support their mission, and we hope that our donation will assist them in continuing their important work in alleviating food poverty and providing essential resources to local families.”
Dave Levy, Trustee at The Shoebury Ark, said: “The Shoebury Ark is grateful for the support provided by Taylor Wimpey through their donation, which will help to fund meals and food for those in need in the local community.”
