THE nation’s most in-demand tattoo artist and chicken joint have announced they are joining forces to create a limited-edition streetwear capsule collection.
Pablo Gutierrez, known as Certified Letter Boy, is the UK’s most in-demand artist with a waiting list of more than 18 months and a starting price of £1,000. His unmistakable fine-line artistry has drawn a star-studded list of clients, including the likes of David Beckham, Central Cee, Rick Owens, Bugzy Malone and the late Liam Payne.
Gutierrez has now turned his head to designing a sizzling hot, limited-edition clothing collection in collaboration with viral hot chicken joint, Dave’s Hot Chicken.
The ‘Certified Letter Boy X Dave’s Hot Chicken’ capsule collection consists of hoodies, t-shirts and caps with just 250 items being made.
The items feature an exclusive design of Gutierrez’s which sees his famous Grim Reaper lauding over a flaming cauldron of hot chicken.
It’s not just Gutierrez who has a famous following. Central Cee, Samuel L. Jackson, Usher and Drake are all fans of Dave’s Hot Chicken, with the latter liking it so much he has even invested in the Nashville-style hot chicken franchise.
The collection is only available at an exclusive pop-up shop at Dave’s Hot Chicken’s Shaftesbury Avenue site on the 5th March. Available from 6:30pm and it’s first come, first served, so get there fast before the collection is all gone.
The garments are extremely competitively priced to make it a collection for everyone. Each item is the cost of a Dave’s meal and lucky customers will receive a hot chicken meal for their efforts as well:
🔥 DHC x CLB Cap: £12.49 (same as a Dave’s 1-3 meal)
🔥 DHC x CLB T-shirt: £15.45 (that’s a Dave’s 1-3 + a soft drink)
🔥 DHC x CLB Hoodie: £16.48 (Dave’s 1-3 + a top-loaded shake)
Announcing the limited-edition capsule collection, Pablo Gutierrez aka Certified Letter Boy said: “Dave’s Hot Chicken’s ‘Reaper’ is their hottest flavour—you even have to sign a waiver just to eat it. That felt like the perfect visual metaphor for this collab. Before people get tattooed, they usually get a little stressed, and they have to sign a waiver too. It’s a whole experience. I actually ate the ‘Reaper,’ and trust me, it’s no joke.”
“I love a collaboration that feel a little unexpected. The world is full of collabs no one asked for, just for the sake of it. This one felt fun and different. I’m really grateful to be working with Dave’s—it’s a powerhouse brand that’s set to take over the chicken scene worldwide.”
