ACL Basildon is hosting a Family Fun Day for residents on Wednesday 3 April. From 10am to 1pm, a range of local community groups and services will come together to highlight the opportunities on offer.
Trust Links, Essex Libraries, Essex Child and Wellbeing Service and Community Voluntary Services (CVS) are just some of the companies that will be in attendance. There will also be face painting workshops, science experiments, virtual reality activities, arts and crafts sessions and a scavenger hunt for children to enjoy.
ACL’s Parent Ambassadors will also attend the event. The Parent Ambassador team engages with parents and carers in schools and communities, while developing their skills to help all. Visitors to the fun day can talk to ambassadors and find out how to sign up for the programme. ACL aims to recruit, train and offer unique personal development opportunities to parents across Essex through their Parent Ambassador Programme.
Lisa Jarentowski, ACL Essex Principal, said: “Our Family Fun Days have been so successful across the county. We want to continue supporting our local communities and we offer so many development opportunities for parents. This Family Fun Day in Basildon is a great chance to see what’s on offer. Come along, bring the children and have a chat to see what we could do for you.”
ACL Essex’s Basildon Family Fun Day will take place on Thursday 4 April at ACL Essex Basildon, Lifelong Learning Centre, Churchill Avenue, Broadmayne, Basildon, SS14 3SG.
