London Southend Airport has today announced it will host a consumer travel show at the airport’s Holiday Inn hotel on 21 January 2024. Attending and performing on the day will be X Factor semi-finalist Matt Linnen, who is from Southend.
The event, which has been organised with Hays Travel Southend, will feature numerous stands and presentations from some of the biggest holiday brands which already use flights from the airport – including easyJet Holidays, Disney Holidays, Balkan Holidays and Santa’s Lapland. Many of the tour operators attending will also be offering discounted holidays limited only to customers who attend on the day.
In addition, guests can pre-register for an exclusive behind-the-scenes airport tour and enter a competition to win a £250 Hays Travel voucher, an airport Golden Ticket plus many other prizes. Free parking at the Holiday Inn will also be available.
Commenting on the event, London Southend Airport’s Business Development Director Nigel Mayes said: “January is always a dark and depressing month – so we thought what better way to banish those winter blues in the week after Blue Monday than to organise a travel show along with our friends at Hays Travel and Matt Linnen. People coming on the day will be able to tune into inspirational destination talks or grab a bargain from some of our travel partners like easyJet Holidays and Balkan Holidays, have the chance to take an airport tour or win a prize but mainly to be inspired with the variety of different holidays which you can take from London Southend.”
