We all know Jodie whittaker from Broadchurch, but she has hit the headlines this week as she has been announced as the 13th doctor.
The broadchurch actress was announced as the doctor on the official Doctor Who social media yesterday and also aired on BBC after the Wimbledon final.
Jodie will be the first ever female doctor when it returns this December, and she has told fans not to be scared of her because she is a woman.
She went onto to say She said fans must not be “fearful”, adding that she is a feminist who does not want to be “boxed in by what you’re told you can and can’t be”.
The actress will takeover the role off Peter Capaldi after he announced at the start of the year that he will be stepping down from the role as the doctor, Which left fans in the dark to who will take his place as the 13th doctor.
Jodie has told a news source that she had to keep a lot of secrets to keep the announcement a secret, Which lead to her using a codename when speaking to her family and management.
We hope for the very best for her and We want to congratulate Jodie for the role.
