Soda Folk is on the hunt for Britain’s most loved diner lady (or guy!), or as they like to call them, School Dinner Folk! And, we’d love you to help us spread the word…
Whether they’re cooking the food, wiping down the tables, or sourcing the ingredients, they really are the unsung heroes of the pandemic, ensuring key workers’ children stay fed during the pandemic, all with a brave face. What a Good Deed!
With the help of the nation, one winner will be chosen to be the face on the can of Soda Folk’s special edition school dinner inspired flavour, set to launch later in March.
There’s been no better time than during lockdown to embrace nostalgia with many of us seeking comfort from the past. So, whether you’re currently at school, or you have fond canteen memories from years ago, we’re encouraging everyone to get involved and vote for their favourite dinner staff, past or present!
You can find more information about the campaign and how to nominate your Dinner Folk at www.sodafolk.com/blogs/news/search-for-dinner-folk. Note all nominations need to be in by 6pm Wednesday 3rd March.
Simon Waterfall, Chief Soda Maker at Soda Folk, said: “Although this year holds more hope than 2020, we’ve still had to spend a lot more time than we’d like to at home. On the plus side, this has made many of us embrace nostalgia, turning to happier school day times. We want to champion the people at the centre of these memories, and those still doing great work today, our School Dinner Folk. And, what better way to do this than getting them on our special edition cans!”
