Lock-In bring overdue bliss with this single

After their recent single ‘Against The World’ showed that Lock-In have everything it takes to be the next indie-rock breakthrough band, the Essex lads now amplify that potential with the new single ‘11:11’. Track teasers have earned attention from big names Sean Tighe and Lloyd Griffiths, and it comes ahead of a big summer festival season.

‘11:11’ is a serotonin shot of blissful vibes. Lock-In whip up a cocktail of swooning vocal harmonies, shimmering dream-pop guitar tones and dash of muscular funk for good measure. But it’s the ultra-addictive hook that really makes it standout, a soaring, instantly memorable chorus that will raise the heat in the hazy summer sun. Vocalist Benjy Leak affirms his future rock star status, delivering every line with beguiling charisma. Lyrically it captures the rush of maybe finding love / lust at last orders, and realising it’s time to make a move before you miss out.

Benjy says, “‘11:11’ is all about mixed signals – one minute you think it’s on, the next you’re second-guessing everything. It’s that late-night, wish-on-a-star kind of feeling, but with a bit of a kick. Dreamy, but still got that indie-rock energy – like if your teenage crush had a soundtrack. Basically, if you want something, say it before the clock hits 11:12!”

Lock-In – completed by Benjy’s brother Joe Leak (guitar) and their lifelong friends, Angus Moore (guitar), Sam Collins (bass) and Ollie Stacey (drums) – recorded ‘11:11’ with producer Max Marlow (Declan McKenna, Kodaline).

Lock-In’s previous releases, including last year’s ‘On To The Next’ EP, have shown their huge crossover appeal resulting in diverse support spanning BBC Introducing, Radio X, 6 Music and Spotify’s New Music Friday. They also soundtracked West Ham United’s kit launch, and have played shows with The K’s, Rum Jungle, Planet, The Twang, The Lilacs, Komparrison and Spangled.

Lock-In recently played London’s Electric Ballroom as part of The Musos Awards, a night which also saw them enjoy a backstage jam with Peter Doherty and Kyle Falconer. Their biggest headline show to date at London’s Dingwalls is the big moment on their calendar (limited tickets available HERE), but there’s much more Lock-In live action on the agenda including the This Feeling By The Sea, Rewired, Bring The Noise, Sunset Sessions and Gig Life Crisis festival plus shows with Spangled and Rolla.
