Limahl has returned with his first single release in over 5 years, a reimagining of the 70’s classic ‘A Horse With No Name’ that’s out now via Christopher Music. The track, originally recorded by America, reaching No 3 in the UK charts, is Limahl’s first ever cover. Adapting the ’70s musical aesthetics and injecting a bit of ’90s electronica, this version of the song has a retro-futuristic quality that feels equally at home in 2025.

“The original ’70s track has been a favorite on my evening playlist for a long time, and I had always wanted to do my own version. The ’90s have been enjoying a revival which prompted me to experiment with the drums/rhythms from that decade. Then the jerky, ‘Jupiter 8’ analogue synthesizer/sequencer was added with a filtering envelope and it became an important personality in the track. As an afterthought, guitar was added, and it became the icing on the cake.” LIMAHL

The singer appeared on this year’s Comic Relief on the BBC singing “Too Shy” which raised £34million to help combat poverty in the U.K. and around the world. This year Limahl went viral on TikTok singing the chorus to the track amassing nearly ½ a million views!

He remains very active, continuing to perform live throughout Europe. Last year he performed and co-hosted the SENSE charity gala at London’s Westminster Church Hall with the Princess Royal in attendance (raising over £100k), the reopening gala at London’s National Portrait Gallery after its £3m renovation and at the gala for the Terrence Higgins Trust HIV Charity (that raised over 100k+)
He also performed at the premiere of new stage musical adaptation of Neverending Story (La Historia Interminable) in Madrid (now playing in Barcelona).

Winning the hearts of millions of fans in the ’80s as the lead singer of British band Kajagoogoo, Limahl enjoyed the instant fame of hitting the top of the charts with their debut single “Too Shy” (75million+ streams to date) which was followed by two more Top 20 hits “Ooh To Be Ah” and “Hang On Now” (all of which he co-wrote). Limahl then struck out on his own and hit the charts again with his first solo single ‘Only For Love,’ quickly followed with the Giorgio Moroder–produced worldwide smash ‘Neverending Story’ (151million+ streams to date), the theme song from the hit film of the same name. In addition, ‘Neverending Story’ and ‘Too Shy’ were featured on hit TV shows Black Mirror, American Horror Story and Stranger Things. Limahl also appeared on the ITV show ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Outta Here’.
