Citizens Advice Harlow awarded service contract

Harlow Council has awarded the contract for providing advice and support services for Harlow residents to Citizens Advice Harlow as part of its mission to protect our communities.

Following a thorough tender process, Citizens Advice Harlow will be working to deliver high-quality welfare advice and support on the areas of housing, benefits, money management and debt advice, and income maximisation. In addition to providing direct advice, they will also signpost where necessary to other organisations who can help and working with other partners to deliver services out in the community.
The contract will focus on the need to address the issues of fuel, food and data poverty as set out in the council’s health and wellbeing strategy, in addition to housing and financial advice and support.

Citizens Advice Harlow has successfully retained the contract to provide advice and support services for local residents, continuing the work it has delivered over the past three years. The new contract, starting from 1 April 2025, ensures there is no break in provision and that residents can continue to access trusted, high-quality advice from a well-established local organisation that already works closely with the community and public sector.

Harlow residents who need advice and support can visit www.harlowcitizensadvice.org.uk for details on how to get in contact and access online help.
