Independent housebuilder Dandara is one of Braintree & District Athletics Club’s newest sponsors, located just over a five-minute drive from its latest Towerlands Park development in Braintree. The housebuilder’s endorsement has provided support in the club’s purchasing of four new 700kg javelins, with a branded logo board at the club’s track as part of the sponsorship.
Founded in 1977, Braintree & District Athletics Club is a thriving community with over 350 members, bolstered by an influx of young athletes inspired by the recent Olympics. The club offers a wide range of training and competition opportunities across track, field events, road running, trail running, and cross-country. With a focus on respect, equality, and support, Braintree & District Athletic Club provides a friendly and inclusive environment for athletes of all levels, training all year round at Braintree Track.
Dandara’s support has now enabled the club to purchase four new 700kg javelins – two for practice and two for competitions, with each valued at £200. This donation ensures the Braintree & District Athletic athletes have the necessary equipment to comply with the updated safety regulations set to be implemented in April 2025, allowing for the club to continue offering track training and competition opportunities.
