The report highlighted the school’s broad and ambitious curriculum, which is brought to life through forest school education, trips and hands-on learning experiences. Inspectors also commented how well pupils are supported to reach their full potential, with many achieving well above the national expectations by the time they leave for secondary school.
Headteacher, Amanda Daines, expressed her pride in the report’s findings, stating: “We are absolutely delighted with this recognition of the hard work and dedication of our staff, pupils, and the wider school community. At Tyrrells, we strive to create a stimulating and nurturing environment where every child can thrive. This report reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence in education and personal development.”
The school’s values of Aspire, Care and Learn for Life are evident everyday, which the inspectors witness first hand throughout the inspection. The report praised the school’s inclusive approach, and noted how staff skilfully support all pupils, including those with additional needs, to achieve their full potential.
Paul Banks, CEO of the Chelmsford Learning Partnership, also welcomed the report’s findings: “Tyrrells Primary School is a shining example of what can be achieved through a clear vision, expert leadership, a passionate staff team and a collaborative academy trust. This report is a testament to the hard work of Amanda and her team and confirms what we already know – that the school is going from strength to strength; we are excited for what’s next.”
As a result of the strong progress noted in the inspection, Ofsted has confirmed that Tyrrells Primary School’s next visit will be a full graded inspection, where it could achieve an even higher rating
