With entries spanning from Sabrina Carpenter to Pet Shop Boys, we are thrilled to put a spotlight on this genre of visual art.

The addition of this award is testament to the BFDG’s commitment to become as inclusive as possible as it embraces Art Department creatives in all areas of the industry.

BFDG Chairperson, Jonathan Paul Green said:

“After another year that has, yet again, been hugely challenging for many of us in the industry, I am delighted that the BFDG awards go from strength to strength with a move to a bigger venue this year and the exciting addition of Production Design in Music Video as a brand new category.”

As well as awards for best production design, the talent of individual members will be highlighted through the Peter Lamont Spotlighting New Talent Award (Supported by CrewHQ), the Outstanding Contribution to the Art Department Award (Supported by Pinewood Studios) and the Lifetime Achievement Award (Supported by Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden) awarded to an individual who is respected and established within the Art Department community.

The BFDG continues to champion sustainability with the Planet Positive Award (Supported by Sky Studios Elstree). Entries are open until 13th January for this award, which is now in its 3rd year. The award recognises an Art Department, or individual Art Department crew member, who incorporates environmental sustainability in their work as part of the Film and TV industry’s commitment to support society’s transition to a sustainable future.

The finalists for each category will be announced on 13 January 2025 when the final vote will open. The winners will receive their awards at a ceremony to take place on Saturday 22 February The Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.
