centre:mk has announced the arrival of their new, captivating Christmas adventure for families looking to meet Santa, set within the largest interactive indoor Christmas grotto experience, in the UK.
From Friday 15 November to Sunday 24 December, this year, visitors will discover the heartwarming story of the friendly reindeer Norbert, who dreams of leading Santa’s sleigh, just like Rudolph.
Santa’s grotto with Norbert the reindeer is part of a broader festive celebration at centre:mk, which includes over 10,000 twinkling lights, a variety of free selfie points all around the centre, independent Christmas market, and an array of fantastic rides, including a VR sleigh ride, train ride and Victorian carousel, that capture the magic of the Festive season.
Located in Middleton Hall, in front of John Lewis & Partners, the largest indoor Christmas grotto in the UK has been transformed into “Starlight Square” – a magical festive haven. This vast, beautifully decorated space immerses families in Christmas joy, making centre:mk the perfect place to kick off the season and feel the true spirit of Christmas.
The huge Christmas grotto will get everyone in the festive mood, as visitors to meet Santa are welcomed into his wonderous reindeer stable, filled with twinkling jars of Christmas lights and festive magic. The interactive journey begins with Elf Twinkletoes guiding families to a cosy seating area for the story to begin.
Norbert, a delightful bespoke puppet who communicates through his elf puppeteer, will interact with the children and families who are invited to join in with the fun, as his magical story unfolds. Before heading to meet Santa, families can enjoy the craft area, where they will create their own eco-friendly reindeer food. Each family will receive a bag and decorative tags to personalise their creations to take home. Families will then have an individual family meeting with Santa, where he will give children a special gift and a photograph will be taken.
