Local mental health charity Mid and North East Essex Mind has again been chosen as one of the charity partners for this year’s Invasion Colchester to help raise much-needed funds for the charity.
Invasion Colchester will return to the city’s streets on Saturday 7 September when the city centre will be taken over by superheroes, iconic cars, live music and entertainment. Mid and North East Essex Mind will benefit from the proceeds of collection buckets and a raffle that will take place throughout the event.
Ginny Idehen, CEO, Mid and North East Essex Mind said: “Invasion Colchester has become a great annual event in the city and it’s an honour to be one of the charity partners. With several superheroes from Batman to Iron Man experiencing their own mental health issues in their narratives, it is also a very apt partnership.”
Ginny adds: “As well as receiving a third of all donations made on the day Mid and North East Essex Mind will benefit from the raffle, so I encourage everyone who can afford to, to get a raffle ticket or two. They will be helping us support people with mental health issues and they could also win some great prizes too!”
