Film fans in Basildon do not have much longer to wait for the new Vue to arrive, with doors set to open on 25 July – and for those wanting to guarantee a seat on the opening day, tickets are now available to book online from just £6.99.
There’s lots of big screen entertainment to be excited about, including two of Marvel’s most iconic characters (played by Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds) returning in Deadpool and Wolverine, where the anti-hero’s existence comes crashing down when the Time Variance Authority recruits him to help safeguard the multiverse…
Also spinning back onto screen – nearly 30 years after the original film – is Twisters, starring Daisy Edgar-Jones as a former storm chaser haunted by a devastating encounter with a tornado during her college years who now studies storm patterns on screens from the safety of New York.
There’s a lot for families to get excited about too, with more Minion mayhem, criminal capers and plenty of laughs when Despicable Me 4 arrives just in time for the opening – as well as this year’s record-breaking Inside Out 2.
Not only that, every live action outing of superhero Spider-Man – including the Tobey Maguire trilogy, Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man films and the more recent Tom Holland trilogy – is set to screen from next month (August).
Toby Bradon, General Manager of Vue UK and Ireland, said: “We’re excited to be bringing Vue and the magic of the big screen to Basildon – just in time for families to enjoy films during the summer holidays.
“Customers will be able to watch the latest blockbusters alongside the very best of British films, content from around the world and a variety of big screen events.”
Vue will be bringing the Ultimate Seat, Screen and Sound experience to the area. Each of the 10 screens will feature stadium-tiered, luxury leather seating alongside Vue’s Recliner seats, high definition 4K screens, Laser Digital projection systems and Dolby Atmos multi-dimensional sound in selected screens.
Tickets are available at myvue.com/basildon, with prices starting from just £6.99 when booked online.
