Work complete on first apartment block at Beaulieu Grange in Chelmsford

Bellway Essex has finished building the first apartment block within its Beaulieu Grange development in Chelmsford.

The housebuilder has completed work on the Bridle Apartments at the development, off Remembrance Way, which forms part of the wider Beaulieu neighbourhood to the north-east of the city.

The developer has sold 12 of the 13 one and two-bedroom apartments in the block, with the remaining show apartment due to be released for sale at a later date.

Work is continuing on the neighbouring Ryder Apartments, where 12 of the 22 homes have been sold.

Three further blocks of apartments are planned at the development to comprise 45 affordable homes for low-cost rent or shared ownership for local people. Bellway Essex is delivering a total of 194 new homes at the site, which will also include a range of two, three and four-bedroom houses.

Jenny Walker, Sales Director for Bellway Essex, said: “Finishing work on the Bridle Apartments represents a significant construction milestone for Beaulieu Grange. The build programme on the Ryder Apartments is moving forward apace and should see us complete that block in early 2025.

“Strong sales have seen buyers snap up 23 out of the 35 private apartments we are building here. The interest in the new homes in the Bridle Apartments has continued into the Ryder Apartments where nearly half of the properties have been sold.

The wider Beaulieu scheme is planned to deliver more than 3,000 new homes alongside schools, shops, and green open spaces across a 604-acre site.

There is currently a choice of one and two-bedroom apartments, available to reserve at Beaulieu Grange, with prices starting at £254,995. A selection of three and four-bedroom houses is also on sale, priced from £437,995.
