On 26th June, 56 Dean Street the pioneering sexual health clinic, part of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, collaborated with SoulCycle UK to host a ‘Ride for Pride’ fundraising event.
SoulCycle is an LGBTQ+ friendly leading lifestyle brand offering signature indoor cycling classes in Notting Hill and Soho, the latter studio located just a stone’s throw away from 56 Dean Street’s central London location.
Over 30 of the Trust’s staff, friends and family came together at SoulCycle’s Soho studio to pedal for Pride, raising over £550 for the CW+ Charity with funds going towards 56 Dean Street and the Trust’s LGBTQ+ Network.
Amongst the attendees were Tara Suchak, Service Lead for Dean Street Services, and Rob Bleasdale, Chief Nurse Officer at the Trust.
Tara said: “As Europe’s busiest sexual health clinic, based in Soho, we are delighted to partner with our neighbour SoulCycle UK raising awareness and celebrating Pride.”
Eva Leibbrandt, International General Manager at SoulCycle UK said: “SoulCycle is honoured for the opportunity to support the NHS and their dedication to LGBTQIA+ communities. Through an impactful mind-body-soul experience, SoulCycle is proud to foster an inclusive environment where all Souls are welcome and to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of all riders.”
This event comes just three days before London Pride where over 70 colleagues from Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, including community services will be rallying in the parade to show their support for the LGBTQ+ community. This year’s theme is ‘#WeAreEverywhere’. This powerful message is about celebrating LGBTQ+ people living authentically and without apology in all spaces.
Thank you to everyone who attended the Ride for Pride at SoulCycle and made the celebration such a success.
