Taylor Wimpey has thanked a Shoeburyness scout for helping to choose the name of its new development, Artillery Mews.
The team challenged members of 1st Shoeburyness Southend Estuary Scouts to help them pick the perfect name for the development that is coming soon to Campfield Road. The scouts were asked to take inspiration from the rich military history of Shoebury Garrison, which lies next to Taylor Wimpey’s site and dates back to 1849.
The Scouts put forward some excellent suggestions but in the end it was Artillery Mews, suggested by 13-year-old Ollie, that the team thought best highlighted the great military heritage of Shoeburyness. To thank Ollie for his contribution to the new development, Taylor Wimpey invited him to meet the sales team and also presented him with a £50 gift voucher of his choice.
Artillery Mews development commenced in Autumn of 2023, providing a range of 70 high quality new homes, including 21 affordable homes designed to suit a range of different buyers.
