A new Oxford Business College campus is opening in Brentford – offering local residents the chance to study for a Foundation Degree right on their doorstep.
The campus, which sits on the banks of the River Brent and is a 10 minute walk from Brentford tube station, is part of Oxford Business College.
Enrolment has begun for its inaugural course, a two-year Foundation Degree in Tourism and Events Management due to begin on 28th May – with additional programmes to be introduced in September 2024.
Students will study the travel, tourism and events industries in depth, with courses in business and entrepreneurship available as options.
The two-year, full-time course will prepare students to work in the travel, tourism and events sectors, which together count hundreds of employers in Hounslow and surrounding boroughs – including Heathrow Airport and its supply chain.
Oxford Business College has selected Hounslow to open its new campus, offering higher education in an area where many people have had limited educational opportunities. According to the 2021 Census, a fifth (19%) of adults in Hounslow have no formal qualifications, and nearly three fifths (58%) don’t have a degree, foundation degree or higher education diploma[1].
