Essex-based Fairfields Farm, known for its award-winning potato farm and crisp production recently organised a fun-filled Easter potato hunt competition for the local community. Taking place during the Easter school holidays, the event provided educational fun for the hundreds of local residents who took part.
The hunt began along the public footpath stretching from Old St Mary’s Church to Cooks Hall Road in West Bergholt. Along this route, participants followed a series of signposts, with each offering insights into the world of potato farming and manufacturing – with images of Fairfields Farm for demonstration.
Attendees were then tasked with spotting the brand’s potato friends holding up individual letters along the way. Collecting these letters was key, as these were to be used later on to uncover a mystery word, used to enter the competition. Those who unveiled the mystery word could enter the competition by scanning the QR code located at the start or end of the trail, for their chance to win their very own box of Fairfields Farm crisps.
Tash Jones, Commercial Director at Fairfields Farm stated “We wanted to create an event that not only entertained but provided educational value for our local community during the Easter break. We loved witnessing everyone joining in and working together to win a box of our beloved crisps, just in time for the arrival of spring!”
