Local vet practice House and Jackson in Blackmore has been awarded the prized title of Vet Practice of the Year at the 2024 Petplan Veterinary Awards.
Announced last night at a black tie ceremony, hosted by TV personality Claudia Winkleman, the winners were awarded a prestigious Veterinary Awards trophy.
Now in its 25th year, Petplan received over 38,000 nominations from pet owners and veterinary colleagues – a credit to the number of dedicated and hardworking veterinary professionals across the UK.
Flying the flag for House and Jackson, having been awarded the title of Vet Practice of the Year, Erik Belloy and Peter Van den Brande both commented: “ We’re absolutely elated, fantastic. It’s all down to the staff really, being compassionate, caring, all the years of all the fantastic staff we’ve had that’s really what this has culminated in.
“Because we love animals, we love taking care of the, that’s what it’s about at the end of the day. Early this morning I had my hand up to my shoulder inside a horse mouth, and now I’m getting an award, and tomorrow I’m on call again, what better profession can you have?”
Presidents of prestigious veterinary associations made up the awards’ independent and expert panel of judges. The judging criteria was based on providing exceptional levels of care, outstanding expertise and professionalism and great interpersonal skills – all of which XX was shown to have excelled in.
