A Colchester paramedic is helping to cut the wait for patients looking for healthcare assessments by launching a new clinic in Colchester.
Hassle Free Healthcare opened for appointments on December 4, and gives patients in and around the city of Colchester the chance to phone up and book in for a face-to-face health consultation on the same day.
Patients will be assessed by Sophie Pickford, an advanced paramedic and independent prescriber who has been working locally as a paramedic in general practice for the last five years. As a Level 7 practitioner, Sophie is qualified to examine and treat both children and adults.
A Care Quality Commission approved practice, Hassle Free Healthcare is based at The Point Clinic on De Grey Road in Colchester, with free parking and disabled access, plus a friendly reception team with all the necessary training to book in medical appointments.
As well as same day appointments, Hassle Free Healthcare also offers out of hours appointments meaning you can access qualified medical advice until 8pm during weekdays and between 8.30am and 3pm on Saturdays. Simply call 01206 625206 to book your consultation.
While not replacing a patient’s need for a NHS GP if they have long-term or chronic conditions, and not a centre for medical emergencies, the Hassle Free Healthcare service does provide quick and straightforward access for assessments of minor illnesses, providing peace of mind and prescriptions for the appropriate treatment.
20-minute consultations are priced at £49, while Hassle Free Healthcare will also be specialising in Well Woman and Well Man health checks, to allow patients the opportunity to have their overall health assessed, including comprehensive screening tests for potential health conditions.
