Oxygen Activeplay is opening its new indoor leisure park in Romford on Friday 22 December. Located at Spilsby Rd, Harold Hill, Oxygen Romford arrives at the former Jump Evolution site that closed in October to facilitate a lavish six-week rebrand, refurbishment and facilities upgrade. The site will reopen as Oxygen Romford to provide an all new super-charged, active and fun experience for all the family, just in time for the Christmas break.
Oxygen’s £1.3m investment will completely transform the 26,000 sq ft space to incorporate Oxygen’s signature installations including an excite tunnel, VIP party areas and enhanced café, as well as several new activations. New installations unique to Oxygen Romford will include a state of the art Air-Track; a new climbing area offering varying degrees of difficulty, competitive 2 v 2 race walls, cargo-style climbing and a unique bubble climbing wall. The expansive trampolining area will also be upgraded with an exciting twist. Plenty of new dynamics will create a fusion of ‘trampolining-parkour-freerunning’ to experience, while a thrill slide and trapeze swing are also being added.
Other activities include a giant inflatable air bag, several performance areas and a new dedicated soft-play toddler offering. The reimagined park will also feature eight new birthday party areas each with a dedicated party host, personalised birthday Halo, specialist AV systems customisable for each child’s birthday wish, high-tech video playback of the party goers time in the park, and a throne for the birthday child!
This latest Oxygen park to open will also bring up to 20 new jobs to the town offering a range of exciting career opportunities. During the period of construction the entire team at Jump Evolution, will relocate to Oxygen’s bouncer training camp ready to return as ‘fully-Oxygenated’ bouncers for the opening. As a key part of the Oxygen experience, bouncers create the ‘wow’ moments for visitors, lead on challenges, games, dances, host birthday parties and show off a whole new round of tricks and flips.
