Team of Norfolk dogs and owners race to first place at world’s largest agility festival

A local team of four dogs and their owners are celebrating their success at the world-renowned Kennel Club International Agility Festival.

Team Coltishall Inbetweeners, from Norfolk, took first place in the Medium Kennel Club Team Final on Friday 10 August 2023.

The winning team members and reserves were:

Amanda Dougal and her nine-year-old Cocker Spaniel, Derry (Anelu Fire Star)
Graham Scott and his eight-year-old Cocker Spaniel, Ronnie (Twinifity Special Editions)
Sandra Stringer and her five-year-old Manchester Terrier, Dixie (Mimbre Dixie Belle)
Georgia Dougal and her five-year-old Cocker Spaniel, Nugget (Palmanda Golden Nugget)
Liz Rogers and her eight-year-old Patterdale x Poodle cross, Yogi (Devon Boy Dreamer) (reserve)
Amanda Dougal, team captain, who has been competing in agility for ten years, said of their achievement: “The Coltishall Inbetweeners were last year’s champions and we were very proud to have made it to the finals again this year and defend our title!”

The action-packed four-day festival, which is supported by Skinner’s, welcomed dogs of every size, shape and breed. Skilled competitors from all over the UK and abroad entered the rings to navigate the jumps, weaves and tunnels.
