DG International, the leading global logistics provider, has launched its annual hunt for ambitious young locals to join its full-time paid 12-month internship programme, starting in October 2023.
Now entering its third year, DG International’s internship scheme allows successful applicants to experience working life across multiple departments of either DG International or the company’s international eCommerce firm, Pro Carrier.
Four applicants will be selected to take part in the 12-month programme, with two working at DG International and two with Pro Carrier. All four interns will split their time across three different departments with the DG International positions covering Operations, Marketing and Business Change and Pro Carrier being Business Change, Client Support and Account Management and Commercial Finance, spending four months gaining hands on experience in each division before rotating.
At the conclusion of the 12-month internship, full-time permanent positions will be offered to those who have successfully immersed themselves within the company, giving them the opportunity to join the 6 past successful interns currently working within the business.
Louise Dight, Head of HR at DG International and co-ordinator of the internships, said: “Our interns immediately become a part of the DGI and Pro Carrier family and play a significant role in our day-to-day operations. We believe in learning by doing, so applicants can expect to gain valuable experience while playing an intrinsic role in the business.”

The internship scheme is now open. There are no requirements to apply, however applicants will be expected to commute to the DG International office in Billericay or Pro Carrier office in Basildon. To apply, send your CV to [email protected].
