Home-hunters will get a chance to see a range of new bungalows being built in Hatfield Peverel to meet local demand before work on the properties is completed.
Bellway is building the homes as part of its Priory Grange development in the Essex village, where a total of 140 homes are being delivered.
When planning permission for the scheme was granted, Braintree District Council requested that 10 bungalows be provided within the housing mix as it had identified a local need for single storey properties.
The bungalows, which include a combination of two and three-bedroom designs, are being built at the development off Stone Path Drive. And now Bellway is inviting anyone interested in purchasing one of these homes to come and have a closer look as work on them nears completion.
The housebuilder is hosting a Dusty Boots event at Priory Grange over the weekend of Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 August so that visitors can be safely given a tour of the bungalows currently under construction.
Jenny Walker, Sales Director at Bellway Essex, said: “New-build bungalows are not always easy to come by and it’s quite unusual to have as many as 10 on a development of this size.
“Many buyers want their home all on one level for ease or accessibility reasons and with an ageing population it’s so important that high-quality bungalows are provided to meet this rising demand.

Visitors will put on hard hats and hi vis jackets for the occasion and Bellway will make sure that there will be easy access for those attending the event.
As well as 140 new homes, Priory Grange will also include a five-acre area of accessible natural green space featuring paths and a children’s play area.
A selection of two and three-bedroom bungalows are currently available at Priory Grange, with prices starting from £439,995.
