A new website, tailor-made to support and provide guidance for local businesses, has been launched by Harlow Council as part of the council’s priority to secure investment into Harlow.
www.harlowbusiness.org gives the town’s organisations a range of free tools they can use to help promote local business events and support. The site also showcases Harlow as a prime location for setting up and running a business. Large organisations, business owners and SME’s (small-medium enterprises) can also explore why Harlow is an excellent business location.
The new website has several features to support local businesses and showcases Harlow’s thriving business community, including:
Business support – Highlighting free support and funding opportunities.
Recruitment and skills – Advice on upskilling and seeking the best local talent.
Locate in Harlow – Showcasing Harlow’s unique features as prime business location.
Harlow businesses – Insight into local businesses located in the town.
Opportunities – Including tender and sponsorship opportunities.
Business events – Upcoming networking events.
One of the most exciting features is the Harlow Business Directory. The directory is free to use and allows users to search, browse and contact Harlow-based businesses, encouraging more local connections and trade. The directory is exclusive to Harlow, and any Harlow-based business can join for free via the website.
Harlow Council’s Economic Development team will regularly update the website with the latest advice, guidance and upcoming events. Any queries on business support, relocating your business to Harlow or other questions can be submitted via the Contact Us page.
Councillor Michael Hardware, cabinet portfolio holder for economic development, said:
“Harlow provides a diverse and vibrant environment for businesses to start up, relocate and grow. The town has a rich history of successful businesses and is becoming one of the UK’s fastest growth areas. The introduction of the new Harlow Business website will further support Harlow-based businesses, encouraging more connections and opportunities. The website also showcases why Harlow is a fantastic place to do business, encouraging start-ups and relocation to the area, and supports our priority to secure investment into the town.”
