The team from Amazon’s fulfilment centre in Tilbury has made an £800 donation to an Essex Primary School.
Eastbury Community Primary School provides an engaging curriculum aimed at preparing children to be confident and happy. It provides learning opportunities relevant to their needs both now and in the future.
The donation from Amazon in Tilbury will go towards converting a double decker bus into the new school library.
Speaking on the donation, Ruzanna Sargsyan, General Manager at Amazon in Tilbury, said:
“We’re pleased to support the staff and pupils of Eastbury Community Primary School with this donation. A few members of the team here at Amazon in Tilbury have children attending the school and we hope our support enables the staff to continue their great work.”
Sab Najeeb, an employee from Amazon in Tilbury who nominated the school for support, said:
“My son receives a fantastic education at Eastbury Community Primary School and enjoys going to school every day, which is great to see as a parent. Thanks, Amazon, for giving the staff and pupils a helping hand.”
Mrs Aisha Raymond, Head of Primary at Eastbury Community Primary School, added:
“At Eastbury Community Primary School we believe children should be curious about their learning and we ensure they have the necessary resources to spark a love for education. Once we complete our bus conversion the children will have a fun and exciting safe space to read, encouraging more children to read for pleasure.
“Our focus is to have every child reading at the appropriate level for their age and Amazon’s generous donation has made us one step closer to achieving this. We are so thankful to Ruzanna and all at Amazon in Tilbury for this donation, allowing us to continue to educate the leaders of the future to the best standard.”
The donation to Eastbury Community Primary School was made as part of Amazon’s programme to support the communities in and around its operating locations across the UK.
