Animal lovers are invited to join in the celebrations at the RSPCA’s One Fun Day which will be held across England and Wales, including an event in Essex.

The One Fun Day event, on Saturday 17 June and residents from Chelmsford and Maldon are invited to join the RSPCA’s Essex and Mid North Branch at their two charity shops for coffee and cakes.
Dozens of One Fun Day events will be happening simultaneously across England and Wales, in a bid to raise much needed funds for RSPCA’s network of branches and animal centres.
The Essex and Mid North Branch will be hosting a coffee and cakes event at their Chelmsford and Maldon charity shops.
Local residents are invited to join the staff and volunteers for coffee and cakes and the opportunity to shop for bargains.
The event will run from 10am to 2pm and will be at the shops located at 178 Moulsham Street, Chelmsford, CM2 0LD and the Maldon Shop at 76 High Street, Maldon, Essex CM9 5ET.
A spokesperson for the branch said: “We are really excited to be hosting our One Fun Day event and we hope that our supporters, families and animal lovers will come along on the day.
“Events like these are vital fundraising events for our branch and help to raise money which will be used directly to help animals in our community.
“We hope that animal lovers will be able to join us on the day and we really look forward to seeing everyone – it promises to be a great day and you will be doing your bit to help animals in need.”
