SEA LIFE Brighton will mark the King’s Coronation with multiple celebrations across the Aquarium.
As guests arrive at the courtyard, they will receive a royal welcome with a red carpet before stepping into the aquarium where they will see the iconic Victorian Arcade Arches changed from their iconic rainbow to Red, White and Blue. The arches are the first breath-taking part of your journey throughout SEA LIFE Brighton and the arches are the original Victorian architecture from over 150 years ago in 1872.
The celebrations don’t stop there as the Seahorses are ‘Flying the flag’ ahead of the coronation. The species Hippocampus hippocampus is a UK species that are native to Sussex and can be found locally as close as the Brighton Marina. The species is one of two found in UK waters and is protected under Schedule 5 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. See if you can spot them at a visit to SEA LIFE Brighton this weekend.
You can also hop aboard the HMS Brightonia the renamed Glass Bottom Boat for the Coronation weekend where guests can experience the royal treatment as they glide over the ocean display coming face-to-fin with the incredible creatures of SEA LIFE Brighton.
SEA LIFE Brighton General Manager, Neil Harris said “It is the perfect opportunity to have a bit of fun as a team and come up with some creative ways to enhance our guest experience for those who join us over the long weekend to celebrate the Coronation.”
