Adult education provider ACL Essex, part of Essex County Council (ECC), is encouraging Essex residents to attend a Family Fun Day during the Easter holidays at ACL Basildon on 4 April from 10am to 1pm.
The adult learning provider is inviting Essex residents to their centre in Basildon to meet local community groups and services that benefit parents. There will be plenty of exciting activities for children of all ages, including Easter craft activities, games including Connect 4 and giant dominoes, a gymnastics demonstration and more.
Joining ACL Essex at the event will be a range of local businesses and organisations that provide beneficial services for residents, including CVS, Essex Library Service, Age Well East, Essex Youth Service, and many more.
Attendees will also have the chance to meet an ACL Parent Ambassador at the event. Parent Ambassadors are a valued part of ACL Essex, supporting parental engagement for schools and communities, whilst developing their skills to support others. There will also be an opportunity to sign up to the Parent Ambassador programme, through which ACL aims to recruit, train and offer unique personal development opportunities to anyone in a parenting role.
Lisa Jarentowski, ACL Essex Principal, added: “We want to engage parents from across the county so that they can see all of the courses, volunteering opportunities and support that is on offer to them. We have plenty of Family Learning courses, as well as valuable Parent Ambassadors; our volunteers that help to support other parents in the community. Why not come down to ACL Basildon and see what we have to offer?”
ACL Essex’s Family Fun Day will take place at ACL Essex Basildon, Churchill Avenue, Basildon SS14 3SG, from 10am to 1pm.
