The Easter lamb recipe box was created with Masterchef winner Steven Wallis your on-hand kitchen partner, guiding you through a fun and entertaining video masterclass to slow roast the lamb with onions, fennel and shallots to create beautifully tender meat and an unctuous gravy which will delight family and friends.
Serving 4-6 six people, the box contains all the ingredients you need to make roast leg of lamb with fennel and shallots, roast potatoes, French-style peas with lettuce and grilled asparagus with lemon crumb and then finished with a showstopping dill and mint creme fraiche and a red wine jus.
The box includes a delicious leg of lamb weighing approximately 1.2kg from Cotswolds butcher Jesse Smith and all the ingredients to make a marinade for it using fennel seeds and bay leaves.
The roast potatoes are accompanied by French-style peas with lettuce and white wine, which are cooked in butter to deliver a traditional spring accompaniment to the dish and classic grilled asparagus with a lemon crumb. Then it’s all finished with a fresh and zingy mint and dill creme fraiche, as well as a quick and easy mint sauce and a red wine jus.
Masterchef winner and judge Steven Wallis, who developed the recipe, commented: “After all the cold weather we’ve had this winter, we’re all looking ahead to spring – and what better way to celebrate than by cooking this delicious lamb recipe for friends and family for the Easter weekend.
“With all the ingredients measured out, all you have to do is follow the recipe to create a dish worthy of a Masterchef win!”
