Charity workers at a Norfolk adoption centre have been left scratching their heads after poor puss Cinders has been overlooked for more than 110 days while other cats found their forever homes.
Spending nearly four months in her pen at Cats Protection’s Downham Market Adoption Centre isn’t cause for celebration for 12-year-old Cinders. Surely someone can help this moggy’s tale achieve its happy ever after.
Cinders is #MoreThanJustAMoggy. She is a cat with a loving demeanour who is used to being the centre of attention and enjoys receiving fuss. Her previous owners reported that Cinders likes to sit on the back of a sofa and cosy up in the evenings after a long day of watching the world go by from a windowsill.
This gentle cat wwould be ideally suited as companion to an older person or in an adult-only home where she can snooze the days away or sit in a safe and sunny garden.
Cinders was taken into care in November when her long-time owner became unwell and took the difficult decision to do what was best for their beloved cat. After a full vet check and some medical treatment, Cinders is fit to find a new place to call home.
Sam Taylor, Manager at the Downham Market Adoption Centre, said: “Cinders is a wonderfully sweet, gentle and affectionate cat who would make a loving companion for someone able to give her another chance at happiness.
“We can’t see any reason why Cinders hasn’t been invited home to stay with a new family. She enjoyed a loving life for many years and she really is a magnificent moggie with years of cosy living ahead of her.”
