On Thursday 30 November, an Elf Day was held at the Leah Manning Centre for the older people of Harlow.
Around 60 people attended the event which included Supported Housing tenants and residents who attend the Leah Manning Centre. Councillor Dan Swords, Deputy Leader of the Council also dropped in to support the event.
Guests were entertained by a singer, bingo, a quiz, raffle, tombola, plus plenty of lovely tea and cake served up by staff and volunteers dressed in elf outfits.
Thanks to everyone’s generosity and donations, a whopping £410 was raised for the Alzheimer’s Society.
The Leah Manning Centre provides specialist day care for older people all year round, with a variety of stimulating activities designed to maximise independence and maintain skills for everyday living.
