Luxury housebuilder Mulberry Homes has donated £250 to assist with a local fundraising effort held by a choir based near its upcoming Mulberry Homes at Braintree development.

Every year, The LaLas Community Choir holds an event and performance at the local The Booking Hall Café to raise funds for a worthy cause. This year, the choir elected to hold the event in support of Dementia UK.

The event took place on Saturday 17th December and the funds from Mulberry Homes were used in part as a cash prize in the charity raffle, with the remainder being entered into the fundraising pool.

Sarah Christian, member of The LaLas Community Choir, said: “”Thank you so much to Mulberry Homes for supporting The Lalas Community Choir at our festive busking event in aid of Dementia UK. We really appreciate them sponsoring our raffle cash prize and kicking off our fundraising total.

“Dementia UK support and develop specialist dementia admiral nurses, who provide life-changing support for families affected by all kinds of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease. We hope to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic charity.”

Kerry Jones, Sales and Marketing Director at Mulberry Homes, said: “We were delighted to be able to support this wonderful community initiative, and it’s great to see local people coming together like this to support a good cause.

“At Mulberry Homes, giving back to the communities we build in and fostering a community spirit are two things that are incredibly important to us and we look forward to finding more opportunities to do so in the future.”

Mulberry Homes at Braintree will be located off Rayne Road in a prime location with excellent transport links, and consist of a stunning collection of two, three and four-bedroom homes.
