Ultra-fast grocery app, Zapp’s new social advert sees seven-time Formula 1 world champion and Zapp investor, Lewis Hamilton video calling his ten year old bulldog, Roscoe to let him know he’ll be home from the final a day earlier than planned and that he shouldn’t make a fuss.
Roscoe has other ideas. After a disappointed glance at the lack of food in the fridge and ropey decorations in an old box, he dons a pair of reading glasses to place an order on Zapp. Zapp comes to the rescue, delivering a sumptuous vegan spread and party decorations in minutes. The delivery driver is slightly confused when he realises the order was placed by a wagging tailed Roscoe who sits patiently in the doorway.
The advert closes with a heartwarming reunion when Lewis arrives home to a ‘Welcome Home’ banner and vegan spread for both of them, all arranged by his beloved pet pooch. We’re left presuming this isn’t the first time Roscoe has gone above and beyond for his master and Lewis says it’s the ‘best party ever’. And finally with Zapp’s tagline: ‘Delivering life’s moments 24/7.’
The advert is seen as a collaborative Instagram post between Zapp (@tryzapp) and Roscoe (@Roscoelovescoco). Roscoe has an impressive 673 thousand followers of his own! It will also air on Lewis Hamilton’s own Instagram (@lewishamilton).
Usually it’s Lewis throwing Roscoe birthday parties and in an Instagram post Lewis Hamilton shared with his 30.7 million followers on the 25th October, he celebrated his ‘best friend’ turning ten and despite keeping him up with his snoring on countless nights, he still considered him ‘such a blessing’. He was also seen teaching his bulldog to skateboard in July of this year.
