Naturally Fast Food brand LEON is excited to announce the opening of a new restaurant in Chelmsford, Essex on Thursday 17th November. Proudly located on Bond Street in Chelmsford city centre this is LEON’s first high street restaurant in Essex.
The Chelmsford opening represents yet more expansion outside of London for LEON. The brand has already opened a series of restaurants further afield from the capital this year, including in Kent’s Bluewater, a drive-thru in Harrogate and another in Milton Keynes.
To celebrate the opening of the Chelmsford restaurant, LEON will be offering the first 50 guests breakfast on the house and a further 50% off for all guests throughout the rest of the day.
The Chelmsford restaurant will be 2,700 sq ft and will feature 56 internal seats for guests to dine in and enjoy their meals. LEON is proud to have generated 35 job vacancies with this new opening and has recruited for both full and part-time positions. Sustainability is important to LEON and the Chelmsford fit-out has been done using low-impact and recyclable materials wherever possible.

Guests will find all the usual LEON favourites at the new Chelmsford branch as well as the newly launched festive menu which includes highlights such as the Bauble & Squeak Wrap, Turkey Christmassaman Curry and a collection of new latte flavours – Chai, Spice Biscuit and Amaretto.
This menu update also sees the return of the iconic LEON dish GFC nuggets. A perfect lunchtime treat, especially when paired alongside LEON’s Waffle Fries and tasty Aioli dip, the gluten-free chicken nuggets are made from 100% chicken thigh and coated in a crispy gluten-free crumb. Naturally Fast Food from LEON means two things: no-nonsense and no compromise.
The Chelmsford opening keeps LEON steady on its track to bring Naturally Fast Food to even more people across the UK.
As well as major openings outside of London, LEON has continued to expand in the capital welcoming major new sites in Brixton, Camden and Battersea among others. EG Group’s ownership of LEON has allowed a continuous pipeline of traditional high street openings like this one, as well as new formats such as the drive-thru in Gildersome and self-service coffee kiosks in petrol forecourts nationwide.
