On Monday 10th October, World Mental Health Day, Mind in West Essex is opening their new Saffron Walden community space and offices. They are your local mental health charity for the Uttlesford, Harlow and Epping Forest districts.
The new community space is available for everyone to use and they are keen to hear from local people about what groups and services you would like to see taking place and what you feel is needed to support good mental health in North Uttlesford.
Between 11am and 1pm, on Monday 10th October, you are invited to go along to meet with Mind in West Essex staff, find out about what is offered already, be shown around and meet with other partner organisations such as Fire and Police. The official opening ceremony with the mayor will happen at midday.
“Our aim is for Saffron Walden and surrounding villages to be a place where people talk openly and positively about mental health, and where everyone gets the support and respect needed to live well.
We are excited to be opening a space right in the heart of the local community and are looking forward to further developing the opportunities that are already arising to work with local people businesses.
If mental wellbeing is of interest to you please do come along on 10th October. You will find a warm welcome, refreshments and a one off opportunity for local people and organisations to sign up for a range of training opportunities with a 100% discount. I hope to see you there. “
