Inhaler made one of 2021’s biggest breakthroughs when their debut album ‘It Won’t Always Be Like This’ raced to #1 in both the UK and at home in Ireland. They’ve carried through that momentum in 2022 as well with a succession of memorable moments including hitting Glastonbury; headlining a homecoming gig at Dublin’s Fairview Park; playing shows with Arctic Monkeys and Kings of Leon; and releasing the single ‘These Are The Days’, a Radio 1 Tune of the Week. Now the band team up with scotts for the menswear brand’s latest Under The Spotlight campaign.
Consisting of Elijah Hewson (vocals/guitar), Josh Jenkinson (guitar), Robert Keating (bass) and Ryan McMahon (drums), Inhaler join scotts in conversation on the balcony of the 02 Apollo Manchester. They discuss everything from the importance of looking good on stage to their favourite song to play live (‘Who’s Your Money On?’) as well as a memorable misadventure with their pyrotechnics. They also look back at when they first formed, a time when Elijah laughs, “We were like the world’s worst heavy metal band!”
The interview is cut with shots of the band on stage and picking out their favourite Barbour International designs in their dressing room. Every item that the band wear through the video and its accompanying photoshoot – including jackets, jumpers and t-shirts – is available from scotts’ extensive Barbour International catalogue.
Next month will see Inhaler embark upon a UK headline show that culminates with a London show at the Roundhouse. Their big plans for2023 are already taking shape with the confirmation of huge special guest shows with Sam Fender and Harry Styles.
