The Met Office recently announced the probability of a heatwave which resulted in the trading standards recalling outdoor furniture covers that did not meet set safety measures against fire. Multiple cushion covers sold by Aldi are affected.
Aldi, the giant chain store, released a statement recalling cushion covers for several outdoor furniture products sold from their stores this year because they pose a fire risk.
The supermarket announced a free replacement for all cushion covers sold from their five branches in Swindon -Drove Road, Hobley Drive, Romsey Street, Shaw Road, N Latham Road, and Royal Wootton Bassett.
The statement from Aldi states: “As a precautionary measure, we are sending replacement cushion covers to all customers who have purchased the following garden furniture products.”
The manufacturer has issued free cushion cover replacements, which will only be sent out to customers who purchased the outdoor furniture between February 13, 2022, and April 20, 2022.
The store advises the buyers to discontinue the usage of the old cushion covers immediately and wait for safe replacements. The good news is, all other parts of the furniture are safe for use.

The store requests customers who purchased any of the above outdoor furniture in-store to contact the customer service through 0800 042 0800 (UK) or 1800 991 828 (Ireland) as soon as possible for delivery arrangements.
On the other hand, customers in the UK who bought the products through their website will be contacted through the email addresses used, and their replacement covers will be sent out immediately.
