The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience is celebrating Pride this month in the most fabulous of ways – a completely bespoke outfit created by RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star, Crystal.
Crystal, who appeared in season one of Drag Race UK, was inspired by the glass and shine of The Crystal Dome with the design of their unique outfit. Crystal sashayed away in front of the Dome in a chrome geometric shaped two piece, complete with arm gauntlets and an 80’s inspired wig. The outfit can be viewed during the month of Pride at the London attraction for glamorous selfie moments.
To celebrate Pride month, the Crystal Maze LIVE Experience is also undergoing a kaleidoscopic makeover. From 1st to 19th of June, the Futuristic Zones across both the London and Manchester attractions will be transformed into ‘Pride is the Future’ Zones and decorated in the vibrant colours of the inclusive Progress Pride flag. In addition, players will need to try and win a rainbow crystal in a specially adapted game in each location. For every rainbow crystal won, an additional £2 donation will be made to the nominated charities.
Furthermore, for every ticket sold between the 1st and 19th June, The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience will donate 50p of the sale to its nominated LGBTQIA+ charities; Mosaic Trust in London, supporting LGBT+ Young Persons and the LGBT Foundation in Manchester, delivering support and advice to local LGBT+ communities.
Crystal, commented on their masterpiece, “I loved discovering the Crystal Maze when I moved to the UK – it’s an iconic series and I’ve loved watching it! I wanted to create an outfit inspired by the colours and textures of the maze and the geometric shapes of the dome. Sparkling and iridescent is very Crystal Maze and very me!”
Tom Lionetti-Maguire, CEO and Founder of Little Lion Entertainment Limited, said, “Working with Crystal for the Crystal Maze was such a natural fit – their outfit is just fabulous, and we can’t wait to have it on show at our London Maze for the duration of Pride month. We are a proud ally of the LGBTQIA+ community so we’re so excited to be donating part of our ticket sales to LGBTQIA+ charities who do such great work in London and Manchester.”
