REAL Housewives of Cheshire star Seema Malhotra has spoken about the terror of suffering from menopause-induced brain fog and detailed the effects it had on her business.

Seema praised the series as an amazing platform and said she used it to her advantage to help others face health challenges.

She told GB News that the seemingly minor symptoms of the menopause had a big impact on her life, including suffering “brain fog” during meetings about her fashion business.

“We were discussing designs and afterwards I realised I don’t remember that design.Iit’s really quite a dark place that you go into because everyone’s looking at you and they say ‘hang on a minute, you were in that meeting last week why don’t you remember?’

“But I don’t want to say it’s a negative thing because I think I’ve learned about it, learned how to deal with it. And it’s not a disease or anything, it’s just another stage in a woman’s life.”

She made her comments on GB News this morning during Breakfast with Eamonn and Isabel.

Seema, who celebrated her 50th birthday last year, said that she suffered pain from ovarian cysts for years and eventually had a hysterectomy.

“I kept having these ovarian cysts and I’ve suffered for like two or three years and had a hysterectomy five years ago,” she said.

The fashion boss and reality TV personality has said that a rigorous skincare routine and a positive mindset have been key to her success.

“I feel the show has been an amazing platform for me as a female British Asian business woman,” she said.

“It’s been great for me to use it to highlight issues, real life issues because I think people, have this perception out there about having an amazing life.”

The mother-of-two has opened up about her health scares on the ITV2 reality show after being left in agony from an ovarian cyst: a scan also picked up a lump in her left breast.

She added: “I work really hard and I’m human, I just have normal problems as anyone else would so I’ve used it…to my advantage to help others go through the menopause. I don’t think women talk about it.”

Seema, the owner of the global fashion brand Forever Unique, works out every morning and loves to dance to keep fit.
