Leading housebuilder Barratt Homes recently welcomed the Mayor and Mayoress of Peterborough to its Hampton Water development to see the growing new community.
The Mayor, Councillor Stephen Lane, and Mayoress, Margaret Lane, visited the development in Hampton Vale to see the community alongside Barratt Homes Managing Director, Daniel Evans, and other members of the Barratt Homes team including Sales Director, William Phair, Construction Director, Andy Richards, and Sales Adviser, Louise Russell.
During the visit, Stephen and Margaret visited a show home to see the quality of build that comes with a Barratt Homes property.
Councillor Stephen Lane, said: “New homes are always welcome in Peterborough, and it was a pleasure to see how Barratt Homes are helping to meet those demands with a range of different styles and sizes. We were invited to visit two well-built and spacious family homes that make for an exciting offer for Peterborough and those wishing to move to our fine city.”
Located on Aqua Drive, the final phase of homes is now being built at Hampton Water, where 90% of the properties have been snapped up. However, there is still a range of three and four bedroom homes available to those looking to make a move to the Peterborough development.
The Mayor and Mayoress also had a chance to meet with the Chair of the Residents’ Association, Gemma Mason, who discussed some of the community events that have taken place at the development including a ‘Picnic on the Pitch’ and a Christmas Fayre.
The community at Hampton Water are also planning a celebration for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June, which Barratt Homes will be sponsoring.
Daniel Evans, Managing Director at Barratt Homes Cambridgeshire, said: “We were delighted to welcome Stephen and Margaret to the development and discuss our fantastic Hampton Water community. It was great to give them an opportunity to see the nearly completed community and the quality construction that goes into a Barratt Homes property.”
