Home Leisure Direct, the UK’s leading games room retailer, has brought back its ‘Games Room of the Year’ competition for the sixth year in a row.
The competition, which launches today, seeks to find the best games room in the UK. From the extravagant to the minimalistic, the arcade heaven to the pub sports hero, people across the UK are now being asked to enter pictures of their games room for a chance to be crowned ‘Games Room of the Year 2021’ and win a £1000 cash prize.
Entrants are required to reply to the brand’s Facebook post with a photograph of their games room. The competition is open for 2 weeks, with the closing date falling on Sunday 10th October (midnight BST).
An internal judging panel formed by the Home Leisure Direct team will select 10 finalists, which will be announced on 14th October. Following this announcement, the finalists will then be subjected to a public vote to determine the eventual prize winner – voting will open until Sunday 31st October (midnight BST), and the winner will be announced during the first week of November.
While any type of games room has the chance to win, the judging panel are looking for games rooms that “showcases your personality”, has “at least one games room product” (pool table, snooker table, arcade machine, table tennis table, football table, jukebox, air hockey table, shuffleboard, skeeball, darts set, etc.), and “has something awesome that’s unique to your games room” – such as a particular style, unique item, super collection, weird location, etc.
