DogFest 2021, in partnership with Bought By Many is back at a number of venues across the UK as the most doggylicious day in the events calendar returns this September.
The eagerly anticipated weekends will play host to a vast array of activities designed with your furry friend in mind including dog shows, dramatic displays, have-a-go activities, the ever tempting shopping village, delicious festival food, refreshments and music.
DogFest will also be attended by famous faces including Clare Balding, Michaela Strachan, Matt Johnson and Calum Best. Guests will be able to spot famous faces on two legs and four in the crowd enjoying a stroll, or up on the Live Stage, where they will be hosting interviews and other interactive activities for dogs and owners.
The opportunity to involve your dog (and yourself) in a fun filled weekend is endless. Sign your dog up for various fan favourite activities from previous years, as well as new additions to the 2021 show line-up. Immerse yourself in the have-a-go activities such as, Hay Bale Racing (sponsored by YAKERS), Dog Diving, Dogstacle Course (sponsored by Pet Active Life), Obedience Challenge, Agility and more.
DogFest offers more than just entertainment, as it also provides the very latest tips, tricks and advice from guest experts on a wide array of topics including animal health and welfare, veterinary developments, dietary requirements, behavioural psychology, new ownership during the pandemic and much more. Plus a chance to chat to the UK’s largest dog charity, Dogs Trust, our official Charity Partner, to find out about fundraising opportunities or re-homing.
For new puppy owners (and sure there are plenty!), guests can enrol their puppy into DogFest’s very own Puppy Academy. With so many new puppy lovers on the scene, DogFest has created the ideal place to learn, play and rest with your puppy. If you are a new owner in the pandemic this is the perfect place to ask questions to experts and get the latest tips and advice. Socialisation at an early stage is crucial to every puppy’s mental wellbeing and future development. The Puppy Academy is where pups of all breeds shapes and sizes can meet other youngsters in a friendly and relaxed environment. (All must be inoculated and protected).
To top off your dog’s best day out ever you can also enter them into the Fun Dog Show sponsored by Bought By
Many, and see them compete for titles such as Best in Show, Most Fabulous or Best Rescue to name but a few. Pull up a hay bale and enjoy!
For those wanting a break from the activities, guests can also roll out a picnic blanket and settle down for a chilled afternoon listening to some pawesome festival tunes soaking up the festival vibe with artisan food and coffee vans, gin-tastic & prosecco bars and other food and drink stalls.
New activity additions for 2021 include:
Dogstacle course
Dogs that love a challenge and those with plenty of energy to burn will love the Dogstacle Course, sponsored by Pet Active Life Instruct your dog to soar over hay bale hurdles, dive under scramble nets, zigzag around poles and dart through tunnels, or join in to show your dog how it’s done! New to DogFest Hertfordshire this year, this challenge will reward the fastest dogs to complete the course. Suitable for all dogs.
Hide and Seek
Dogs can sniff out treats from almost anywhere… but does your dog have what it takes to sniff out and find you? In the ultimate game of hide and seek, it’s up to you to choose your best hiding place from a series of pop-up tents located in the arena, and up to your pup to find you as they race against the clock!
